Submission is now open for artists wishing to submit a design to paint the public piano located at Coffee Coffee 970 N. Coast Hwy 101. Please read guidelines below and make sure to thoroughly complete each requirement so your submission can be properly evaluated by the art jury.
Please note before submitting that it is a requirement to complete the work by end of day on August 26th. Selected artist is required to paint throughout the duration of the LeucadiART Walk on August 26th from 10 am to 5pm. Work can begin as early as August 21st.
Payment details:
Leucadia Arts and Cultural Foundation will pay the $500 stipend to the selected artist upon completion of the project. This does not include the cost of materials, which will be covered by Leucadia 101 separately. Leucadia 101 will cover up to $200 of materials. The public piano is provided by California Music Studios and hosted by Coffee Coffee as a gift to the community to create music and enjoy a publicly accessible, functional work of art.

Artist must agree to complete project by 5pm on the day of the LeucadiART Walk.
Artist must be available to paint throughout the day of the LeucadiART Walk as a live demo artist and point of interest for attendees.
Please submit the following within your proposal:
- Artist Bio
- Artist Statement
- "The Community of Leucadia desires a large-scale piece of community art. This document is my proposal detailing my idea of a hand painted piano located at Coffee Coffee that will 1) Contribute to the aesthetic development of the area 2) Enhance and promote the LeucadiART Walk through live painting 3) Align with the coastal lifestyle of the city.
- Selected large scale works or public art projects you’ve completed."

- Signed agreement (will be sent for completion once your proposal has been submitted).
