Meet the Local Businesses that Bring LeucadiART Walk to Life

August 7, 2018

These are the small, local businesses who not only offer their monetary support to the event, but their belief and excitement for community art events like LeucadiART Walk, happening Sunday, August 26.

Renewal by Andersen — Durable. Beautiful. Custom crafted, made to order, and professionally installed. Energy-efficient replacement windows from Renewal by Andersen offer the elegance, strength, and stability of wood, with the low-maintenance features of vinyl. Edco — Thanks to EDCO, all of our Leucadia 101 events come equipped with plenty of waste and recycling bins, effectively keeping trash where we like it: off our streets! This family owned and locally operated business is also responsible for keeping our neighborhoods clean all year long, so thank you EDCO!

Corner Frame Shop — Morgan Mallory of Corner Frame Shop has four decades of custom framing under his belt. A steward of local art, Corner Frame Shop also boasts an art gallery, where local artists' work adorns the walls.

Vigilucci's — Classic Italian food and nightly live piano combine in one of our neighborhood's best eateries. Indulge in this authentic taste of Italy at Vigilucci's, which some locals claim has the best happy hour on Hwy 101!

Peter Curry — Commercial Real Estate Advisor — Aside from owning some of the most beloved properties in Leucadia, Peter Curry is also one of our most valued volunteers, always helping out behind the scenes at events.

Progression — Did you know that Progression Surf has the biggest selection of used surfboards in all of San Diego county?! With over 250 boards to choose from, you shouldn't have any problems dialing in your quiver at Progression Surf.

Surfhouse — For being such a small team, the people at Surfhouse Adventures and Boutique Motel pour a lot of love back into our community. They work with local charities on surf events, sponsor Leucadia 101 beach clean ups and are always down for community events. They commemorated last year's LeucadiART Walk with a mural by Mike Nelson and Terry Andrews.

El Camino — El Camino Memorial Encinitas specializes in personal service. Whether it’s a celebration on a yacht for a boating enthusiast or a rodeo-themed tribute with the dress code and music to match, we have the flexible facilities to accommodate your guests and the creative drive to mind every crucial detail.

Le Papagayo — Live music every night! Need we say more? Le Papagayo has been a beloved Leucadia staple for its fresh, inspired menu, colorful cocktails and nightly music for 15 years. Oh, and Tuesdays is all night Happy Hour!

Electra — How cool is it that Electra has its headquarters right here in Encinitas? Makers of high quality beach cruisers, Electra is also a big supporter of bike safety and accessibility. Thanks to Electra, attendees of LeucadiART Walk can ride their bike to the event and stow it at the FREE Electra bike valet.

Scott Bass The Boardroom — This year, Bing Surfboards is bringing you The Art of the Surfboard in partnership with Scott Bass of The Boardroom. You may recognize Scott's name (and voice!) from KPBS' daily surf report — but on Sunday, August 26, he'll be doing live board shaping. More details coming soon!

Anderson’s La Costa — Your friendly, neighborhood nursery has an eye for beauty! From their stunning greenhouse varieties to their outdoor plants, one thing is for sure: Anderson's loves (and knows!) plants. They'll be beautifying the Coastal Animal Beer Garden again this year, making for a pleasantly green environment to sip on Port Brewing, Lost Abbey, and Boochcraft. Learn more about the Beer Garden here.
